
DIANA CHERY RAMIREZ BIO
Diana Chery Ramírez - Colombian actress and playwright. Received a MA in Performing Arts with an emphasis in acting at the Academia Superior de Artes de Bogotá in 2000. Diana has additionally studied playwriting and diverse performing and training techniques. She has collaborated as an actress, playwright , teacher and director for several theater companies from Colombia, Spain, Ireland and the United States.
Among her works as author is included Partidas, published in Colombia as part of the series, “Textos dramáticos, Cuadernillos de Arte ASAB” in 2000 and produced by Teatro IATI in New York in 2005; Aviones de Papel, produced in New York by LATE in 2006 and representing the city of New York at FITO, Venezuela in 2006 with the Sin Teatro company; The monologue Susurros de Tinta, part of the TALLA XS series of works, was premiered recently at the Marco del Festival de Teatro Alternativo en Bogota 2008 by the company; A series of fictional short stories, Miranda Desnuda for Spunk-Arts Magazine. Her most recent acting credits include: Golondrina, LaMaMaETC 2007; Aviones de Papel, La Tea 2006, FITO 2006; La importancia de llamarse Blanca, LATE 2006. Diana resides in New York City since 2001. She currently continues her Studies for Theater Instruction at Hunter College CUNY and is a member of the theater director laboratory at Teatro IATI.
