Ernesto De Villa-Bejjani was born in Mexico City. He began his career in the arts in 1984. Ernesto achieved his professional studies at the “National School of Theatrical Arts” of the National Institute of Fine Arts in Mexico City, and at “La Casa del Teatro” directed by Luis de Tavira.
He has participated in more than 37 staged plays with more of than hundred presentations each. Ernesto has also worked in films and numerous soap operas for Televisa in Mexico City.
Mr. De Villa-Bejjani participated in 'The International Festival Cervantino' from 1988 till 1991, in the 'Latin American International Festival of Cadiz' in 1992 and in the 'University International Festival of Theater of Manizales, Colombia' in 1992. He arrived in New York City in May of 2003, where he has established and directs his own theatrical company, '88 Performing Arts Theatrical Company'. The company has produced three theatrical productions,in addition to providing acting and diction workshops to industry professionals. Ernesto is also is a director and associated producer with the 'International Theatre New York' (ITNY) as well as having special skills in voice over, playwriting, poetry and puppeteering . His technical skills include lighting and set design.
Ernesto is an Award Winner as presented by The Association of Entertainment Critics of New York (ACE) as ‘Best Masculine Revelation of 2004 in Theater’ and an ACE nominee for ‘Best Drama Actor of 2008’ (Theatre New York).
